I am totally against removing parking on 35th for another bike lane. The City needs to change its policy and REQUIRE developers to provide parking for all new construction instead of not requiring it if a bus comes by (that policy is so ridiculous I can't believe it) if they want to reduce street parking!

My aunt is in a wheelchair. She needs easy access to the bus and we need access to parking when we take her to various businesses along 35th. This plan completely desecrates her ability to move around her neighborhood. Stop this now. All the people in this area deserve to be considered.

I have the sense that no matter how much we protest or comment, that’s it’s fait accompli and the city is going forward regardless of how the neighborhood feels. I don’t think it’s cool at all.

35th is a critical pathway for access running north and south. This is a very badly constructed plan and the City is ignoring the majority of voices in this neighborhood.

This is a very bad decision as it adds even more chaos to an already busy street by reducing parking, putting more bikers on the street that cars drive the fastest on, reducing pedestrian crossing ease, etc. I can't believe that this is even being considered. What a waste of taxpayer money and increased danger for cyclist and motorist.

As a Wedgwood resident AND daily bike commuter, I am not sure why we need to convert 35th Ave to a bike friendly road when better options such as the 39th Ave greenway already exist where bicyclists are more buffered from heavy traffic. It doesn't seem like a great use of limited resources. I certainly don't see that many bike riders even on the 39th Ave greenway that make me think an additional bike friendly road would be heavily utilized. I'm not sure having more business traffic have to depend on small neighborhood streets for parking is in improvement.

Putting a bike lane on 35th may be the dumbest idea I've heard come from the City in a while, and that's a pretty high bar to clear.

A bike lane on 35th makes no sense. There is already a bike lane four blocks away (rarely used) as well as another east/west bike path (rarely used) on NE 75th. This neighborhood has been earmarked by the city to become a bike lane laboratory without any scientific/data-related studies that show a bike path serves the city, the neighborhood or the environment.

Please do NOT take away our parking and the use of a second lane on 35th Ave NE by putting in bike lanes! 35th is a critical arterial that I use every day. The bike lanes with result in gridlock on a very highly traveled route for many of us in NE Seattle.

The business owners, NE library need the parking, plus synagogue and churches. THe surrounding neighborhoods, east and west of 35th cannot take the offset parking or traffic. Parking used by homeowners who live on those side streets, and too many speeding cars already.
