I am a long time resident and supporter of our local businesses. I would prefer to see bicyclist use 39th which is much safer for everyone.

I am an avid recreational cyclist, I like bikes, but they are never going to be practical work transport for me or almost anyone else I know. If they work for you and you love cycling, great. Just don't screw up our commute to support your hobby.

This will really impact the NE library. Parents of small children and older folks need to be able to park close by. Bad idea.

I am a dedicated, hardcore cyclist, and the Cascade Club does NOT SPEAK for me. I am opposed to the SDOT plan. I ride on 39th, which is safer.

There is just no need for Seattle's war on cars to extend to 35th ave NE. The city's plan will be a disaster and cause miles-long backups during rush hours, since we will no longer be able to go around people turning left off of the street.

The number of cars cutting through residential streets to bypass the traffic on 35th will increase significantly after this project. If the main goal is pedestrian safety, you need to rethink your plan.

There is already a bike lane close by. There is no need for this proposed bike lane on 35th. It will not serve the local citizens of Bryant/Wedgwood.

This is a busy street that barely handles the traffic it has now. We don’t need to put cyclists at risk on this street when we already have much safer streets for them nearby. For once SDOT should consider the needs and safety of the greater majority of citizens who live, work, shop, and run businesses in this area

Please do not place the bike lanes on 35 th. There is not much parking as it is. I am a bicyclist who bikes to my work at the UW. I do not feel comfortable biking on the main arterial. It seems much more reasonable to take a less busy street!!

this stretch of 35th avenue is already crowded enough with what has been done to it. Don't make it worse by restricting it more. Your Greenway on 39th should be emphasized not added to so you can have 2 flops.. I agree with the specific changes proposed on this site.

The 35th Ave NE proposed bike lanes are not needed - I bike on 35th and have never felt unsafe; in addition nearby greenway bike corridors provide convenient alternatives.
Removing parking specifically on 35th between 47th and 65th will dramatically and negatively impact residents on 35th, forcing many of these residents to park on overburdened side streets.
Patrons of dozens of businesses , the library, numerous churches and the synagogue, and other organizations, starting at 55th and going north will have much difficulty finding convenient parking to participate to support commerce, and social organizations (religious, library, etc).
Not to mention a huge traffic mess, harried and unsafe drivers, and an unsafe environment for pedestrians, which will be created if the cities plan is allowed to proceed.

I am a new homeowner in NE seattle. Just getting to the freeway to get out of the area is a slog. This is going to completely shut down our area. Its not a solution. The City MUST invent people by offering MORE transportation options, not by shutting down streets. What is Wrong with you people?

I am a cyclist. I bike to Boeing every day from north Wedgewood. I am dumbfounded as to why the City would push this agenda or laying down bike lanes. I use 35th and other streets. I have the ability to weave in and out. Bike lanes will only create added chaos and danger to an already busy area. I demand that SDOT halt this activity and listen to US, the Taxpayers and Citizens of NE Seattle/wedgewood/viewridge/bryant/meadowbrook and beyond.
