This plan does not seem to be supported by good data in regard to the balance of vehicle traffic vs bicycle traffic. There are so many other things that you could do for bicyclists. Let's make our neighborhood community safe for pedestrians that use the many small businesses along 35th avenue.

There is no reason to make bike lanes on 35th. Are you kidding me? What is wrong with this city? It's as though nothing is thought out. We are not set up to have bikes and cars on these busy, narrow streets. It's a recipe for disaster.

I do not mind bikers but they seem rather careless on busy streets...more accountability to traffic laws would be good.

Do not close off more of the north-south pathways. In addition to the Burke Gilman 20th receives heavy biking use. Right turns on Roosevelt are scary and bikers willfully ignore traffic laws. Don't hurt the small businesses on 35th. Only the bikers win on this one. I am a resident of the area.

I ride my bike quite a bit and the bike lane on 49th to the Burke Gilman trail works fine. I don’t get the need to do this. More congestion Look at 75 bile lane I think I have seen 1 person use it. I believe we still live in a democracy and there is no question if this be put out to vote it would lose. If you are going to govern then listen
Don’t decide beforehand what to do and have a pretend democracy
Will see how this ends up. Does city hall once again run roughshod over the wishes of its citizens?

This intuitively makes sense to me after having seen the clogging of Northgate Way at 15th Ave NE avd Roosevelt, and northward 5 abd 10 blocks too.

Save 35th. The majority of people drive cars in Seattle. There is plenty of safe space for bikes on existing surface streets and the Burke Gilman. SDOT please do not destroy this street and negatively impact the small businesses in our neighborhood.

I think bikers should bike on 39th Ave. which is a lovely greenway bike road.
No bike lanes on 35th Ave NE! We already have a thru fare for cyclists on 39th Ave NE (which is being hardly used). The city wants people to get out of their cars? Provide reasonable alternatives! I tried to be a good citizen and take the bus and light-rail downtown recently. It took me and hour and twenty minutes, and I paid 12.00 in fares. Won't do that again. The city needs to provide more buses, more parking close to light-rail, more flashing lights crosswalks to make travelling in the city safe and reasonable.
