We have a dedicated pedestrian and bike street on 38th and and a dedicated bike street on 20th. I think we can let the cars and buses have 35th Street

This is a completely wrongheaded idea and a misuse of funds. There are other nearby routes that bicyclists can use. Enhancement of pedestrian safety such as flashing crosswalk signs would be a better use of funds for example. Look at all of then new apartments/condos along 35th NE and you can imagine how the proposed changes would contribute to further congestion and driver frustration likely a risk factor in itself. GET REAL!

Tearing up and changing 35th NE would be terrible for small businesses! It would eliminate parking places and create a huge dusty loud mess which we can do without this summer!!

I am a local resident who uses a manual wheelchair and I rely on curbside parking to access the local businesses I frequent in my neighborhood. This bike lane would dramatically impact my access. There are ample newly developed safe bicycle routes through this area that provide adequate transit both north, south and east, west.

I've lived in Wedgwood for 22 years. In the last five or so years, I've observed a dramatic traffic increase on what previously had been quiet residential streets, as well a surprising decrease in the amount of available street parking. I'm extremely concerned that eliminating lanes and parking on on 35th NE will further push traffic onto residential side streets.

City of Seattle do you keep track of how few bikes use the lanes you already created? NE 75th is a parking lot every day, and it is very rare to see even one bicycle on this hilly street. No more!!!

I'm a biker and a Wedgwood resident. This is a terrible idea. I support the alternatives. Put bikes on the side streets. But block parking in one or two spaces near intersections like 87th so you can see cars coming on 35th

I live 4 blocks east of 35th on a bicycle greenway that connect to The Burke Gilman trail. This change is completely unnecessary and will negatively impact schools and commuters. SPSchools already changed their start times to 7:55 am. This change will stress people more to leave earlier to avoid the gridlock created by this, but leaving earlier will not align with school drop off. Rob Johnson did not listen to his constituents!

This City cannot stand to lose parking spaces that will negatively affect every single business owner along the route and create more congestion and people cutting through neighborhoods to avoid the traffic. What's wrong with 39th that has been designated a bike street? Much safer for the biker and allows arterials like 35th Ave NE to function as they are meant to.

This makes no sense. After talking with many bikers, they do not like to even travel this street. Even with bike lanes they will still choose different routes

There are better options to support bike lanes in NE Seattle. 35th is a vital street for traffic and businesses. It's not apparent that change meets a need from the community, rather it appears it's fullfilling a goal on a plan that's been approved. Preserve the existing street capacity and add bike capacity on better marked residential streets. Everyone can win, both in the short run and long term.

As a year around biker, I do not want these bike lanes. Many bike lanes make biking more dangerous. The Seattle Bicycle Master Plan should be revoked. Quit taking road space away from cars. Biking with cars is generally safer than biking in a bike lane.
