SAVE 35th AVE NE

This plan would be detrimental to traffic flow in a growing area and would be devastating local businesses and there are safe biking options on nearby streets already available

I support bikes having access but the traffic has increased significantly on 35th Avenue NE and the bike lane will add to the congestion. I also think it will add further potential danger due to higher speed of drivers on side streets as cars look for faster side street options. The bikes can more easily and safely use the side streets. I have lived in this area for over 25 years and feel we need to keep our streets safe and less congested for everyone’s sake. This is a singularly bad idea! We already have a dedicated, parallel bikeway just four blocks east on 39th Ave NE

Keep bike lanes to side streets.

There are ample alternatives for cyclists stop destroying businesses andwhat is left of decent transit lanes

I live on 35th. I ride my bike regularly. This is an absolutely terrible idea.

Please stop spending money on bike lanes on 35th Ave NE and shift that money towards more more flashing crosswalks. Including one at 48th ave NE and 70th st where kids need to cross the street safely to View Ridge Elementary. Thank you

I and most of my neighbors feel this is a travesty! Putting in these bike lanes will cause traffic delays, they will cause difficulty to so many businesses on 35th Ave N.E. and are not necessary as there are other bike lanes on 37th Ave N.E. I have rarely even seen bikes on 35th! The city put in the bike lanes on NE75th St. and I have yet to see a bike on that Street! But you cannot park in front of the houses along that street. Also I know that each mile is costing 12 million dollars!!! That is just plane outrageous. This must stop!!

This is a REALLY bad idea! Especially concerned about no parking on 35th NE at the PUBLIC library! Also, flow of traffic will be at a standstill when stuck behind buses. Will impede flow of traffic to the max!

We do not need the bike lane. The proposed bike lane is a waste of money

I've seen signs on the side streets advocating moving bicycles to their streets.

Bicycle lanes on 35th NE do not meet the needs of most residents in the area. The local businesses need to have parking available to their customers. There is a designated bicycle greenway on 38th/39th NE which has much less auto traffic and is therefore safer for bicyclists than riding on 35th. I've heard in the news that there are cost overruns on various traffic projects and that some will have to be delayed. I suggest delaying this project particularly since repaving 35th NE is not needed at this time. It is in better shape than some other streets in Seattle and would be a waste of money. I am strongly against. The side streets are convenient and safer for bikes. All businesses and residents will be harmed.

STOP 35th Ave

35th Ave NE has been the most popular street of Wedgwood, View Ridge, Hawthorne Hills, etc with the NE Library parking that has needed to be on the street in front. Please keep the bike lanes elsewhere, if anywhere!

Only 3% ride bikes in Seattle yet the city spends millions on bike lanes and in the case of 35th Ave NE it is absolutely not needed as there are already bike lanes on other streets near by.

I am a daily bike rider and I live in View Ridge. The Greenway on 39th Ave NE runs from the Burke Gilman to the end of the proposed bike lanes on the 35th Ave NE project. I ride it daily, as does my husband. It is perfect - low traffic, safe, as cars driving east/west have to stop at 39th, cost effective, and already in existence. We also ride Broadway daily (on our commute to work). Broadway is confusing for drivers if they have not experienced the bicycle turn signals before, less safe, inconsistent, and cost millions of dollars. These choices that are being made are not sensible.
