I am a bike commuter who loves and uses daily 39th ave NE to get to the Burke Gilman. There is no reason to add bike lanes to 35th. Please, please, please save the parking on 35th so local businesses can survive.

This bicycle lane plan for 35th is poorly thought out. I do not support it. As others have stated, this is harmful to the residents and businesses in this neighborhood decreasing its access and livability.

Please do not eliminate the parking on 35th Ave NE. I am a cyclist and prefer the side streets. This will have an adverse affect sending more cars to the side streets. We are also trying to improve 35th for business and removing the parking in a neighborhood thoroughfare is not the way to win more business. Please leave the road alone. We like our bike lanes where they are (39th for example works great). Please do NOT put bike lanes on 35th Ave NE.

Also, I have never seen a bike on Banner Way. We all have to wait in one lane to get on I-5 north. What a mess.

Stop the out of control city spending on un necessary projects that will have to be restored in a few years. I am a very experienced biker and live close to 35th. I will not ride on ir. 39th is safe for biking. Pkease use it. Seattle is becoming very anti business, sadly.

The city needs an alternate plan. Instead of just saying NO NO no bike lanes. In order to make 35th a safe place for all, a solution would be to keep the sharerows as they are now - re-paint them. add the flashing cross walks - and in order to make it much safer change the speed limit to 20mph.

The city plan kills commerce in the Wedgwood neighborhood. Instead, convert a parallel street east of 35th from four-ways stops to two-way stops to give bikes north/south bound right-of-way. Add speed bumps so traffic remains slow and safe but steady, Boom. Problem solved.

The proposed bike lane with removal of west side parking does not reflect the needs of the residents. The bike lane on 35th would benefit just a few at a cost to the majority of residents. Bad idea. Shame on you Rob Johnson! You do not represent the views of this neighborhood.
