Please keep do not reconfigure 35th Ave NE and remove parking. Doing so will adversely affect businesses and make it dangerous for pedestrians. As an 80 yr old senior, I now frequent Wedgewood businesses because of the convenient parking. I can no longer manage shopping at University Village. Bicyclists already have a convenient, safe, less busy North- South bike route running parallel to 35th a couple of blocks over that they prefer.

City Council representative Rob Johnson is behind this project and refuses to acknowledge the will of his constituents i.e. that this project be abandoned. Please call his office and voice your opposition to his support for this expensive and poorly conceived bike project on 35th. The project represents yet another unnecessary expenditure of SDOT monies that would better be used for improving NE Seattle's crumbling and broken streets.

I'm a View Ridge resident who bike rides daily. North/south errands find me happily using the existing 38/39th existing path. It is scenic, tranquil, safe and a lot of tree canopy with gradual elevation changes. I can't think of any positives switching over to bike lanes on 35th. Breathing exhaust fumes, exposed to noise, sunshine, possibility of cars turning at each intersection, stoplights, no tranquility, dangerous in inclement and dark conditions, etc. Keep 35th as a vehicle free flowing 1st option road where larger trucks and delivery vans have plenty of width to maneuver safely. Bikes separate on already existing and safe corridor. Please. Respectively; JIM

This proposal by SDOT makes absolutely no sense! If you must make a change, add stop signs to nearby residential streets to make a clear straightaway for bicyclists that runs parallel to 35th Ave NE.

Bicycles are important, but we need to balance multiple interests. Bikes have other (and better) options, including side streets. I am tried of seeing empty bike lanes (e.g., Roosevelt) where business parking used to be.

The changes on 35th Ave NE are a waste of taxpayer money that could go to more important needs in Seattle. It will result in congestion on 35th, parking and increased traffic on residential side streets, and unnecessary difficulty in accessing area businesses.

My family is a long term resident of 35 years. We are seniors, diverse and love this neighborhood.
We are sadden and angry that preservation of small businesses, protecting our neighborhoods, consideration of seniors/retired people and quality of life is not the City’s priority. It needs to be.
Having the Burke Gilman and 39th bike lanes within a few blocks of 35th makes this even more puzzling why the City has decided to add more.
This was not a neighborhood decision based on a desperate, critical documented need. It appears it was pushed by only a couple of City employees.
Please listen to your citizens!

Stop this craziness!!! You have slowed 125th ( and 145th) down 10 minutes by adding bike lanes that are UNUSED and unnecessary. We need more roads not less!!!!

35th does not need a bike lane. Have bicyclists use the Burke-Gilman Trail. Funnel cyclists to the proper places and leave our neighborhoods for businesses and our neighbors. Thank you.

This is not the best solution for he neighborhood. There are many options for biking that we can expand on, without hurting the surrounding transport ecosystem.
