Save the money for something more important for heaven sake. We do not need any changes to 35th.

The city's 35th Ave revamp is bad for the majority of NE Seattle residents in so many ways. It will further gridlock a vital artery in NE Seattle, which will force more automobiles to venture off on quieter residential side avenues to get around the gridlock areas. The 60% reduction in curb parking along 35th will result in some patrons to clog up adjacent residential areas for needed parking and may cause others to the businesses altogether. Residents along lower 35th Ave will lose the right to part in front of their own homes in many cases. A minority of Seattle residents use bicycles as their primary transportation, and a little larger segment for leisure riding (but not along major traffic arterials). If this gets done, I can imagine the sight of 1 or 2 bicyclists using the same stretch of road on a rainy day while at the same 100 bumper to bumper gridlocked vehicles crawl along during the busy times of day. Bicycle routes would be safer for all along adjacent avenues to 35th NE.

The neighborhood doesn't want this plan foisted on us, and we have an alternative that works well for residents and cyclists and motorists. In this case, the local residents DO know more than City Hall and SEADOT

Please spend money on improving our mass transit system.. improved bus stops and pedestrian crossings and not on bicycles riders they are such a small population of the people trying to get to and from downtown and spending money for this over other services that have a much greater need. If there was a lot of bicycles i would understand, but there are not. Stop cratering to small interests and focus on the masses please.

This is one of the few roads in Seattle that still actually work! Do NOT need to change and do NOT need bike lanes. Bikers already have routes right by there.

The proximity of the Burke Gilman Trail and the Bicycle Greenway on 39th Ave make this bike lane unnecessary. The local businesses will be adversely affected as well.

This project would have a large negative impact on local businesses and residents. Additionally, the increased congestion would cause cars to idle in traffic, which negates any positive environmental impact more bikes have. Please consider revising your plan. Thanks

Bicyclists can use 39th. 35th is a narrow street to begin with and I agree, this change they are proposing will most definitely increase traffic on other less traveled streets. I do not understand this at all!!! Why did they do all that work on 39th????

Bike lanes already exist on 39th Ave. NE! Cyclists have premium movability, and can use less-travelled public roads more easily than cars and trucks! I say NO to SDOT's plans to eliminate 35th West side-parking in order to add bicycle lanes on both sides? This a totally wasteful & un-necessary use of tax-payer's earnings.

Being a resident of wedgewood who loves my community, I see these possibly changes as extremely unneeded and unwarranted. Keep the bike lanes off 35th!

My wife has been riding a bike for 15 years and never rides her bike up 35th. It’s too busy a street to be riding a bike, even with a bike lane.

I drive day on 35th Ave and I do not support the design to remove parking and add a dedicated bike lane. The area currently has several bicycle friendly routes including the Burke Gilman and several low traffic streets. There are one or two plausible routes for cars and the no parking during rush hour allows for passing due to stopped buses and/or turning cars. The local business also rely on parking. I am all for having a balanced approach where cyclist, cars, and transit can live in harmony but the current plan does not balance the interests of the public.

35th Ave NE should remain open for parking for local businesses. It is already very crowded. The bike lanes can be located elsewhere.
