Much as I'm concerned about businesses & homes on 35th, I'm equally concerned about the inevitable increased parking congestion on the lateral streets off of 35th. I live on 26th, and see that already with what's happening on 65th and 25th. Developers aren't required to provide parking in some of their multi-unit dwellings, People still own cars

The parking on 35th is essential to keeping the businesses thriving. Don't waste our tax money on such a ridiculous idea. The bike riders can take side streets which will be safer for them than an arterial.

Please reconsider the plan to remove the parking on 35th. If you do, we customers cannot patronize the many businesses on that arterial. I drive that street a lot and see very few bike riders on 35th. I do not understand the reason for this plan. It is a waste of taxpayers money.

The existing path on 38th should be used by bicyclists for the safety of all who use these roads.

Don’t live in 35th but use the street often to go to the library or post office. Removing parking in order to install bike lane would definitely worsen the traffic & ultimately make it even less safe for bikes. Let’s rethink this. Thx, Robert Arbios

While I don't live in this neighborhood, I have many friends who do so I am very familiar with it. The bike lane plan is ridiculous. I am not against the city incorporating more cycling options, but this is not the way to do it. As far as I can tell, this is a feeble attempt at correcting the error made when 35th was repaved recently, making the road a little too narrow. What is needed is more bus/transit options, not fewer, a dedicated turn lane at 75th, and above all evidence that the city is taking the wishes and needs of the residents into account rather than ignoring them for idealogical reasons. I live on Capitol Hill and go past the former bus stop across from Seattle Central College every day, a reminder that bike lanes can seriously disrupt transit. Don't let this happen on 35th.

Adding a bike lane on a street that is already congested, and with many turns in to and out of businesses, will not make the street safer. Put the bike lane on 34th or 36th. Don't clutter 35th and take away valuable much-needed business parking.

I’ve lived in the Wedgwood area for over 25 years. The small businesses will be adversely affected by the addition of these bike lanes and the reduction of parking.
