Under Article 4, Section 1 of the SAS bylaws, the undersigned request that Executive Dean Peter March convene a meeting of the full SAS faculty in September or October, that is, before any implementation of the proposed SAS Realignment plan. The purpose of this meeting is for the Executive Dean to explain the proposed SAS organizational plan and for faculty to respond with questions, concerns, and any alternative proposals for the smooth functioning of our departments. Equal time should be allowed for the presentation and ensuing discussion, and departmental staff should be invited.
