SAN JOSE NOTRE DAME NEIGHBOURHOOD DOES NOT NEED MORE RESIDENCES, IT NEEDS MORE ACTIVITY & AMENITY OPTIONS

We are the owner of the corner unit directly facing Andys Pet Shop and also owner of the Super Poké Bros restaurant in Evergreen San Jose and I absolutely agree with the majority's clear opinion that the area needs more life and entertainment venues, and not another overpriced stack of condos for people to rent like Centerra! The area deserpately needs something grander to be done the area because of its prime & historical location when traveling to the Silicon Valley or South Bay Area. This Norte dame block and dog park a special block imo and that's why I chose to invest in my particular street level unit at AXIS in 2014 but now the thought of being surrounded by high rise garage entrances this for sure is not what I dreamed of when I bought it.

We need better planning of green spaces. The city is turning in to a huge sterile cement block. Can't wait to see more wonderful ideas like this one to develop a nice city with a great personality.

Would love to see more activities, movie theater or restaurant. We definitely need some fun stuff to go to around here.

The Almaden Ave is over congested to me. We need more open space now.

No more residences plz it's over crowded

I live downtown and my unit features rare streel-level access. As an owner-occupant, I am interested in this possible development in a way that most others cannot relate. Even those who live in the same building and on higher floors can whisk themselves up to their units and escape the street scene. I am interested in whatever helps to maintain a sense of calm on the street. I think it would be great to see service businesses come into the neighborhood that support the needs of the residents. I also see the continuation of open space to be integral to downtown environments. Even New York has amazing, if small, parks in places one might not expect. It's important to create this kind of feeling in this section of downtown, where so much more housing is planned and being erected.

Yes... Where is the retail? I LOVE downtown San Jose and have devoted much my adult life working to improve the arts culture in downtown and there has been some improvement. BUT when a friend of mine told me that he couldn't even buy a shirt in downtown San Jose the other day I had to admit he had a point. An exaggeration of course, but not by much.

I love that area. I visit often from seattle. my son lives in San Jose and loves seattle because it has incorporated park like settings in new development for real living. This area needs more green.

I fully support an entertainment and active lifestyle venue! This would create an alternative to Santana Row's fine dining and shopping; And with the recent loss of some performing arts in San Jose, this is a great opportunity for us to redefine ourselves as a city.
