The undersigned voters support public education in Sandwich and are very concerned that a majority of the Sandwich School Committee has irresponsibly put the Town in financial jeopardy and diminished the value of the education being provided to the students of Sandwich. We respectfully request that the Sandwich School Committee immediately extend the contract of Superintendent Mary Ellen Johnson. We also support the removal of members Marshall, Crossman, Kangas and Linehan either via resignation, recall, or defeat at the next scheduled election. We would also encourage the teachers of Sandwich to elect a new union leader as soon as possible so that the District is able to begin moving forward in a responsible and progressive manner.
