The frequency and severity of the train horns in the late hours of the night and early hours of the morning are incredibly disruptive. I'm several blocks from the tracks and am awoken sometimes as many as 6-7 times during a single night.

I live on Landon, and the train horn wakes me up every night. It jolts me awake multiple times a night. There are so many train intersections that one train means like 6 blasts.

There is no reason that we should have our entire house woken up from a sound sleep most nights by these trains even with our white noise machines turned all the way up (and we are several blocks away from the tracks!). During the day, walking my infant daughter through FEC park to try and get her to calm down I have to plug her ears so the train doesn't damage her ears (yes, it's actually that loud when you're in the park).

I'm not even near the tracks, as I live on Sorrento Rd, and the trains are so loud that they wake me up!

There are times (like last night) that it seems the conductor is simply being excessive. Not a quick ‘toot toot’ but they lay on the horns for minutes. It wakes my entire household.

I agree there should be a quiet zone during night time and early am. Safety is if the utmost importance for everyone. Hopefully will the extra crossing arms safety will be insured. I question how much horn blowing actually prevents accidents versus not blowing the horn during these late hours.

Please stop the train horns at night because I haven't been able to sleep through the night since I moved here 2 months ago. Love the neighborhood but I didn't realize the trains were so loud and frequent at night.

I have lived on Pineridge Rd in San Marco for 10 years and I wake up almost every night due to the loud train horns which is very disruptive to my overall sleep quality.
Make San Marco a quiet zone!
