the reservation idea was set up based off of Port Townsend ferry reservation system, well there is another way to get there if you miss your ferry a bit longer of a drive . we DO NOT have that option! this is our only highway, you dont put a toll on I-5, why do we have to pay the extra cost? not just in money.why do we as islanders get the short end of the stick wen we are the ones that use the ferries the most. priority loading for islanders. WSF this is affecting our way of life and not in a good way. change it back to the old system for San Juan Islands. or give Islanders priority loading on all sailings

Its confusing the whole mess of it.and with the recent crash who knowsmwhat is next.Poorly planned poorly managed why are we being penalized for where we live. This summer ought to be interesting

This reservation system is a very unfriendly. We live here, we need to get home! This is our highway. Even when we have a reservation it is not a guarantee that we will able to board the boat because of the back up at the booth! We have been ask to drive around until the ferry leaves for another island because the lot is full! it was not full, I have even heard of large gravel trucks with trailers being turned away! This is very unacceptable!.

This has made it difficult for me to come home from school and work to visit my family. I never am able to make reservations or plan ahead in enough time when I do make reservations. I cannot simply go home when I want. I can't use ferry tickets from my famiky like I used to be able to do. This isn't beneficial to islanders, especially those who's job takes them off island at the last minute. If my job ir day plans are canceled due to wather and I decide to take my trip off island that day and do my work the next day, reservations aren't always practical. This really only benefits part-time residents and tourist.
