Bleach compartment rusted and rotten. If I pushed on the metal area around the compartment it would crack completely through.

Just contacted Samsung. And through a chat session. I was able to get them to come out and replace the lid that is rusting. Have you model number, serial number and the date you bought the washer.

We have a Samsung top loading washer that is less than two years old and still under warranty. It has extensive amount of rust around the bleach dispenser. The kind of rust you see on a car from the 1970 in the mid west. Sears will not repair the rust as it is only a" cosmetic problem" and is not covered. Rust is seeping into the washer a contaminating our clothes.
