We purchased the WA5451ANW XAA 02 washing machine a few years ago and it started rusting within 6 months of the purchase. This appliance was obviously made with the wrong type of paint that doesn't withstand rust since so many consumers are having the same issue. Samsung is an unethical company who does not stand behind the quality of their products which demonstrates they do not care the least bit about consumer satisfaction. The joke is on all of us Samsung, but you know what they say...what goes around comes around.

I called Samsung customer service and they did nothing but gave me a phone number to a local repair shop!! I only purchased the units a little over 2 year ago.

Our Samsung washer started developing rust around its bleach dispenser shortly after one year of ownership. Samsung only warranties the stainless steel drum for the obvious reason. Will not buy Samsung washer again, due to poor warranty coverage.

I have rust around the bleach dispenser and thought things like this carried a live time warranty. I was sad to find out it does not. I will not buy Samsung ANYTHING again.

My machine did this after only a short time of owning it. It looks awful and I paid over 800.00 thinking I was getting a top of the line product. I'm very disappointed and will think twice about this brand again.

I also have rust around the bleach dispenser and detergent dispensers. Very disappointed with this and it's beyond belief that it is not rust proof. Bought at Lowe's as well.

The area around the bleach despenser is rusting. I have called Samsung and was told that it is cosmetic and that it is not there problem. The rust is washing into the drum and ruining my clothes.

Horrible washing machine and unbelievable that they are not backing the failure in this product! This should be an issue backed by their warranty! On top of the fact that the product basically becomes unusable it obviously has ruined clothes for all of us as customers!!! Will never purchase a Samsung product again!!

It's crazy that a manufacturer won't rustproof a product that is always in contact with moisture. At the very least they should stand up for their product and fix it when an issue due to faulty design, materials selected or construction comes up. Shame on you Samsung. If I was a good company with a good name I wouldn't want it damaged by one correctable issue.
