Mine started getting rust around bleach dispenser 2 years in...now, 3 years later, it has rust around the detergent dispenser - I leave my (top loader) open ALL the time when not in use to keep from getting that mildew smell that some washers get- so it doesn't sit closed and damp 24/7 ---I've no idea WHY in heaven's name a machine that is made for WATER would rust. Never again will I buy Samsung ANYTHING.

washer purchased in 2010; rust began to appear in seam just below detergent-bleach dispenser within first year; now have significant rust under door gasket (paint is gone and pieces of rust fall off each time door is opened) . Rust also present in area between pedastal drawer and washer botttom.

Bought in 2012 and starte to rust around bleach dispenser within one year even though I hardly ever use bleach.

My top load machine is rusting around the bleach dispenser and now it has moved down the side of the machine. I have several Samsung products. If they dont stand buy thos defect I will never juy another one

It is so bad that rust has ruined loads of laundry. The rust has actually been so bad that pieces of rusty medal have fallen into the bleach spout. There should be a class action lawsuit. There are enough complaints that it should have been recalled

Our Samsung Washer started rusting befor a year...at the soap and bleach dispenser. We bought extended warranty at Lowes..didn't cover rust and Samsung was contacted and would not do anything.

I really made an effort to buy the best washing machine I could afford and I've been happy overall with the Samsung's performance but now the rust has gotten so bad that I'm going to have to take the machine apart. My extended warranty with Sears doesn't cover rust so whatever I do I know I'm on my own. It's a shame and it shouldn't happen on such a new and expensive machine.

My machine has also rusted near bleach despenser and close to where laundry deterget is added. I saw a report on a Los Angles News stataion that part of the broadcast was addressing this very issue and I think samsung did help out that perticular customer that had brought the complaint to the news station because they were not getting any satisfaction from samsung.

My bleach dispenser is totally rusted on my top load Samsung clothing washer. It has almost rusrpted completely through. Now I have a washer that works fine that I may soon won't be able to use. I have rust pieces falling into the washer onto my clothing/linens.

We bought our samsung washer a few years ago and it was disappointing and frustrating how soon it started to rust...we also have issues with the soap and softener compartment because it leaks and stains clothes
