We have the rust problem as well. Rust started at 3 yrs. They came and locked down the washer for the "explosion" problem and now I don't know how to get the top off.

Samsung washing machine is 41/2 yrs old & badly rusted around bleach dispenser. Never seen this before & I've owned machines for 20 yrs & this never happened. Very disappointed . Would never recommend.

My bleach dispenser area is complete rusted out (purchased 4/2014), there are other points of rust in the top panel - behind the top lift glass and all around the detergent dispenser. This is incredibly shoddy workmanship.

Rust showed up around detergent dispenser couple years after purchase. Parts start to fall apart. Customer Service does not take any responsibility like mentioned on man comments here.
