Samsung washers with rusting bleach dispensers

My Samsung washer (5AED303276) started rusting after we had it for 2 years. There is considerable rust around the soap dispenser and the bleach dispenser (we have never even used the bleach dispenser). It is now beginning to get rust on some of our clothing.

My washing machine rusted at the bleach dispenser and is now rusting at detergent dispenser. Rust falls through bleach dispenser and gets on my clothes while washing. I am furious. I'm the type that will first report it to BBB. If not taken care of I'll go another route.

My machine has rust and only 4 yrs old. That's disgusting Samsung!!!!

My message to the Sacramento TV Station which has a consumer advocate....... Situation/Problem In June of 2014 my wife and I purchased a Samsung washing machine and 5 Year Protection Plan from Home Depot in Auburn. Recently the machine's enamel on the inside of the machine above the drum began to show signs of rust and flaking. We also began to see rust stains on some clothing. We felt a washing machine should not be having this severe an issue of falling enamel at 3 years. Time Line: * Dec 5, 2017 meeting with HD Auburn yielded a recommendation we contact Samsung * Dec 7 contacted Samsung and submitted claim as requested to them * Dec 27 having heard nothing from Samsung sent email requesting they review my claim. * Dec 27 visited HD Auburn and was told I was erroneously told to contact Samsung and should have contacted HD.. * Jan 5 Contacted HD Protection Plan and told the issue was cosmetic and this is not covered in the Protection Plan. I disagreed and asked to speak to a supervisor which I did. I simply shared the rusting and flaking of the porcelain reveals the metal and then causes rust. This makes the machine virtually useless and this is not a cosmetic problem it is a manufacturing or materials issue. Supervisor gave same response that the Protection Plan only covers mechanical and electrical issues therefore the rusting/staining is considered as cosmetic. I requested a technician come out to see the washer and I was told since they considered this cosmetic it was not necessary to send a technician. * 1/18 contacted local HD manger and Appliance Department supervisor. Shared my issue and the discussions to date and asked for their assistance. While sympathetic to my situation they directed me to HD Customer Care which is a different department than the Protection Plan group. *1/18 contacted Home Depot Customer Care and provided the background, issues and responses from HD. Bleach dispensor has rusted out

Bleach dispenser, soap dispenser, and all along the rim are rusted.

My machine is a high priced stainless washer and it started rusting out around the dispenser the second year and I don't even use bleach.

Started seeing problem after a few months. If they do not own up to taking responsibility for this design flaw, I will boycott all Samsung products.

Not only is bleach dispenser rusting, so is lid and detergent dispenser. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product!

This is terrible! Expensive machine ruined by rust!

I have the same issue, this is not supposed to happen and will eventually ruin the washer.

Rusty mess that continues to get worse even though I stopped putting bleach in it long ago

Mine is severely rusted & has even spread to the lid of the machine

My Samsung VRT steam washer leaves rust stains on all my clothes as the machine continues to rust and flake off into my machine, and soap/softener dispensers. Horrible design!!!! Flawed product. This is a lemon!!!
