Brick has gone too far -- there's always room in journalism for controversial articles but this just seems like an outright piece for anorexia and just enforces the idea that woman only gain value from their looks. She is in a position of power in that everything she writes can be accessed by millions of people. And as we all know, with great power comes great responsibility (thanks, Spidey). Clearly she has never seen that movie. I see no redeeming features of this article, be it a publicity stunt or a truthful account of Brick's life. Although most people are likely to realise what a pile of bile the article is, young, vulnerable people will see it as a green light to extreme dieting and anorexia. It will also add to the stigma that being overweight is synonymous with "failure". Why is she in such an influential position? She certainly shouldn't be. Instead of just getting infuriated at her in our homes perhaps we could do something that says we will not stand for such bulls*** and sign this in order to pressure the Daily mail to get rid of her once and for all.
