Protecting our Pacific coastline ecology is one of my highest priorities. It's right up there with protecting sources of clean drinking water.

First Nations were here 10,000 yrs before us immigrant colonizers. It's past time we who still dominate and have the power to exclude need to stand up and stand with these generous hearted ancient people's names for the ocean area of the Salish sea. Show integrity and respect now.

As i look out on the Salish Sea and tankers and ocean traffic, I appreciate the efforts to preserve what we love, and to join with First Nations in support of protecting their respectful dependence on the sea.

This is a beautiful place with a wealth of natural resources in rich ocean life that needs to be protected. Recognition as a world heritage site will support this endeavour.

The Salish Sea meets many of the Cultural and Natural criteria for consideration and inclusion on the World Heritage Sites register. Southern Canada is under-represented.
