The people of Westport have proved that they are undoubtedly the best to look after Westport, Tidy town wins, Best town in Ireland to live, etc. etc. Why would NAMA destroy this beautiful town.

Keeping it in local hands who understand the heritage of this part of Mayo is vital. What give away more of our assests to faceless property investors? The Brownes deserve the chance to carry on their sterling work so far.

Aside from the the positive commercial side of westport house...this is their family home ...to loose your home is a trauma not to mention their life long business..if Nama swoop..it's a disaster on a number of different levels..let's hope sanity prevails and the people in power make the right decisions.

Can't close down westport house. Westport House has been an iconic part of Westport. Alot of children's and adults childhood memories come from visiting and spending time there growing up. WESTPORT HOUSE CAN'T CLOSE. CAN'T LET OUR FUTURE MEMORIES BE LOST FOREVER.

There is no question about this ridiculous issue, for the sake of tourism and our heritage Westport House needs to be kept open and not taken out of the ownership of the Browne family.

It's a disgrace to put such a resource in jepordy . This is a social and economic resource for Westport and mayo . Nama should be protecting these facilities when they have owners who work with the community and business in a town. So many of these old homes are now unattainable to the public without massive fees. A true disgrace.
