We used to go there every summer when visiting family in Westport , I have been living in England for 26 years now and still go to Westport house when we go back to Ireland on holiday and have taken my own kids there , amazing childhood memories from Westport house .

I live in Kent in the UK & I have been visiting my family in Westport since I was a baby. Growing up I spent many a summer visiting Westport House & it's beautiful grounds & more recently the 3 annual music festivals which were held there, each visit always held very fond special memories. My Godson has a summer job there along with many other students & people of Westport. It's part of Westport, it is the heart of Westport! I know the town & its people will not turn its back on Westport House & the Browne family, everything must be done to keep this beautiful house in the trust & care of the family, who have loved & cared for it for many many years, it has been their home too & it's never a nice prospect to be thrown out of your own house! I wish the family & Westport town the very best with this petition.
