"Salary and Benefits Reduction for Lawmakers"

Reduce the salary and incentives for the Legislature by 40% and redirect it to health and education.

It disheartening to see our law makers who never make any law in the interest of the people they claimed to be representing. I am therefore, joining other well meaning and patriotic Liberian to sign this petition for salary and benefits reduction.

This is a good initiative. I have always thought in such direction.. Why will a bleeding economy like Liberia pays her law makers more or equivalent to the united states! These guys need to make at most $2000. If this unnecessary salaries of theirs reduce, we will have less people involving into politics. We will see young people learning the hard way and avoid talking or monitoring radio stations day in and out. I will spread this so this goal of 10,000 can be reached in a day or two. Total madness!

If law makes in the great united states monthly salary is less than $ 15,000.00, why is wrong with our so-called Liberia lawmakers.? How much are they bringing into the economy as lawmakers before taking such amount for salary? I fully agreed to reduce the lawmakers salary.
