Putting any personal bias aside, the residents of St. Simons Island should have the right to choose the course of action (incorporation or not) that would best address the current and future issues facing the Island.

We deserve our basic right to vote

State Senator Ligon and Representatves Jones and Atwood-I strongly support the initiative to incorporate St. Simons and Sea Islands as a city. Government for the people and by the people surely suggests a vote on this matter is in order.

The citizens of Saint Simons and Sea Island should be the ones to decide through a referendum whether or not they want to be incorporated. As their representatives, please facilitate this process.
