Yes, we are very concerned about speeders in our neighborhood. They use our streets for high rates of speed everyday.

Drivers use Monlaco to cut between Clark and Bellflower, in both directions, travelling too quickly. That, in addition to the extra traffic to the park, really requires additional thought and planning to address this risk. Speed limits and sometimes stop signs are not being honored. I know this is a challenging problem with the fire station at the end of the street. But, please... look at alternatives for speed control and safety

Was out watching traffic yesterday on Monlaco. TOO MANY GOING TO FAST. Speed limit is 30, some were going at least 55/60. Does some child have to be killed for the city to look into slowing these cars down ?

5400 block of E Conant St has a 30mph zone which is uncalled for and poses a safety hazard. From bellflower to Clark houses do not have driveways so residents are force to get out of their cars street side. Some of us have some children which require us to also get the out street side. Car speed down with no care forcing homeowners to retrieve back into their cars at times. An accident is inevitable. Believe me when I say this, I will personally hold the city of long beach for their neglect. A speed bump needs to be added to the bellflower/Conant side before the light and one about three or four houses down heading west. If someone hits one of my family members and or property, they are not going to need a lawyer, they will need a mortician.

We tried complaining a few years ago and finally got someone from Public Works to come out with a speed gun. Unfortunately the first two times they came out they showed up at 10:30 am - after the get-to-school rush. Had to FORCE them to come back from 6:30-8:00 am and they clocked MANY cars doing in excess of 30mph. Apparently the count wasn't high enough to take much action, other than to put up more speed limit signs and a bigger stop sign. I've called the LBPD and asked them to post a motorcycle officer here on Mezzanine anytime they need to make some extra cash for city coffers. I've even followed speeders to Marshall Middle School now and then and advised them to slow down. Lots of people use the neighborhood as a 'cut through' to avoid the lights on Wardlow or Spring. - 5534 E. Mezzanine.

I have had many close incidents around Monlaco street. People speed through and treat it as a Main Street and not a family neighborhood. I know the speed bumps on the other streets slow people down by also deverts then to our street since we do not have any. Please find a way to inform drivers of their speed! Thank you for your time.
