ARE OUR KIDS SAFE? Does having a right to choose a bad school site matter more than a student or citizens life, YES or NO?

No pros here other than for Basis getting the property at a good price?! We are not lacking in land - there are so many sites that will work better for everyone - they may be able to get a "better" deal if they exchange their property with another more fitting for everyone. Are they even open to this option?? How did it get this far before neighbor involvement? A four story eyesore - too dense for the area! Basis is taking basic liberties of its neighbors right to quiet enjoyment. Shame on them!

Traffic is already difficult and hazardous in this area. Adding significant traffic at peak times will create hardships for area residents and increase the likelihood of serious accidents.

Please do not allow Basis to build here. Site is too small and extremely dangerous for both neighborhood and Basis community.

Please do not allow Basis to go forward with building on this site due to the negative effect on traffic in this area.

The proposed site is not able to accommodate a school of this size. Please consider the community that will be negatively impacted on a daily basis.

ANYONE WHO LIVES NEAR OR UTILIZES THE INTERSECTIONS INVOLVED KNOWS FULL WELL THE STUPIDITY OF THIS LOCATION CHOICE AND IS WELL AWARE OF HOW DANGEROUS ADDING 1500+ KIDS, CARS, AND BUSES TO THE MIX WILL BE

My husband and I DO NOT support the BASIS School plan. It clearly doesn't address the traffic or safety concerns of their students/their customers and those of the surrounding neighborhoods, nor the great number of people who drive on Shea Blvd.

As a developer and builder I have been involved with traffic studies and land use for many years. The Basis plan will not work. Bad idea. Find a new site!

Our neighborhood infrastructure was never designed for the 700+ BASIS vehicles entering onto 128th from Shea to drop off in the morning and re-entering Shea after drop off THEN repeating the process in the afternoon for pick up. Do the math, 2800 vehicles entering and exiting 128th Street and Shea on a daily basis. No amount of traffic modifications, pork chops, off duty police officers or additional lanes can control this mess. It will be deadly.

Dear Scottsdale City Council Members,
As a long time Scottsdale resident I must raise an objection to the current proposal. Not only does this raise significant safety concerns for both the children and vehicular traffic but also has far reaching negative impacts including, but not limited to; severe interruption of the traffic flow on Shea Blvd, exponential increase in traffic to neighborhood roads not meant to handle such flow, depressed home values, etc… On its face the logic behind the proposed location is simply not justified. I trust that you will continue your diligent efforts to maintain Scottsdale unique status as "The Most Livable City". Thank you for your consideration.

This site is not a safe choice for kids and a poor choice for Scottsdale. The traffic problems will be long lasting and costly to the city.

This school is a public safety risk for all in the neighborhood and anyone who drives on Shea. Find another location for the safety of all children.

It is not a smart idea to build a school here; very unsafe...high traffic area already.

Please for once represent the people and the safety of the people you were put in office to represent. Has anyone contacted Fountain Hills about this issue ? They will be greatly affected by this as well as anyone living along the Shea corridor.
