Man I payed $150 for the pass I'm not loosing parking

I'm an OPHS parent and have seen the negative impact this has on the safety of anyone driving, walking or cycling near OPHS.

We have to walk up Kanan to our cars in the 85-100 degree heat of may Say good by to seniors be able to go off campus We all have to dangerously parallel park Walk-through super congested traffic Seniors were told not to get lockers because they have cars Students gave money to the school to have parking spots that are getting revoked Not okay, to all students, please fight this as much as you can. Have them spend the money to wait till summer !!!

Oak Park High School collected Money from every child who elected to park on campus. The school is breaking their contract with every person who paid to park on campus and now forcing them to park on the street.

I don't go to OPHS, but I drive past OPHS every day to go to school. The congestion on Kanan is bad enough. Why make it worse? And ruin the seniors' off campus privilege? This can be halted until summer, when there are much less kids at OPHS for summer school.

The seniors aren't given lockers because they're told that they can leave their stuff in their car and retrieve it during school hours... What now if we're parked a mile away?!

I am so angry ! I think this is horrible! My Poor granddaughter will have to walk to and from school and I am very worried she will possibly get hit by a car. This is unexeptable ! She is my baby! I love her

Listen, I am all for solar power and in fact we need it. However, we need to postpone the construction later. Wait at least until the end of summer where there won't be ANY construction. We need to wait but once summer starts, we should get solar power going. It is a great project but postpone it

This is really annoying and makes already horrible Kanan even more congested. This shouldn't be done when there's a middle school literally less than a mile away because it compromises many students' safety. I've actually gotten hit by a car before, and I would not like to get hit again. Can't this be done during the summer, when the schools aren't in session? um bye

This would be a big project for Oak Park Unified, so it would have to be over the summer to efficiently execute the project without student intervention, classroom distractions from construction noise, and the overall safety of Oak Park Students. The last thing the Oak Park Community would want is a student to get injured or worse.

It HAS been explained.... this project has to begin in April so it can be completed by June 30th in order for the school to get four million dollars in a rebate , which we all know we need very desperately. Considering the amount of out of district people, this would help alleviate the cost of keeping all those lovely people here. And no one ever said you weren't allowed to leave campus for lunch. It might make things more difficult, but don't make it sound like you had your off campus pass revoked.

I highly advocate for the safety of these high school students!

I drive so this affects me

This is a very poor desicion and will cause problem for the entire area. It displays a lack of concern for the the people in and around this school. Surly a better time to do this is when school is not in session. Show some consideration for the well being safety and family life For these residents.

Say it's a proposed amendment

Whoever owns this: send to ASB council with a separate page saying ASB funds cannot be used to pay for solar projects. They have to vote on it.
