I was the victim of an assault and had reported it to the police in October. Basically, a man in a motor bike grabbed my chest and then masturbated. I don't have the police report but I could maybe request it if needed. I have the emails from work as my human resource manager helped me file the report. I reported to my embassy over email too. There were similar attacks in the Thao Dien area and another girl who posted in Fexpats a week after mine had a similar experience, we think it was the same man. I am sure she reported it too. The police did not take it very seriously, they made me retell my story in writing three times and also asked me why I was out late at the time it happened which was quite upsetting. I would like to help in anyway I can. Please feel free to contact me.

I was assaulted just this past weekend, by a neighbor - who just couldn't respect that I care about my dog and have asked him to stop his dog from attacking mine. In some kind of a manic state, he hit my husband with his car and when I ran out to yell what are you doing, he punched me in my face! :( I know that many others here have dealt with worse, and I hope that some positive changes can be enacted so we can all feel more safe and decrease the acceptance of violence. I appreciate the work that SOSS is doing!

It’s time for change. For all women in Vietnam. Locals and foreigners who have made this country their home :)
