This needs to happen. It is ridiculous that the community doesn't feel safe crossing this intersection due to the 20 something accidents just in the past 2 years that we have been living here.

This problem will solve itself but it will have a Darwinian twist. Since the late 70’s more and more people have moved to the Manhattan area from Chicago and the suburbs. These people know nothing about country driving. Worse, their kids are taught by drivers ed to drive very aggressively. It seems to make them more susceptible to road rage. They are also guilty of distracted driving. The answer is not more signs. The answer is that after they kill and maim enough of themselves, they will choose to slow up and drive defensively. Hopefully there will not be too many innocent casualties.

They should all be stop lights, not stop signs.

I do not live in Manhattan however my mother does so I am in the area frequently. I have seen accidents and it seems like every week or so I am hearing via fb page of others. It is absolutely crazy to have these accidents occurring so often and yet nothing is done to try to prevent them. Certainly there is an amount of agreement in stupid people however if there is someway to possibly, again I say possibly, stop or reduce these occurrences I say do it! I cringe driving down that street not knowing if some one is going to pull out in front of me. I cringe knowing my mom is driving those streets. Flashing lights, stop lights whatever it takes to possibly help should be done. If nothing is done then there is no possibility of lesser accidents. I can't imagine with so many accidents that officials just sit back and do nothing. DO SOMETHING!! It certainly can't hurt and hey it might save a life!!

I would also consider a stop sign on smith and cedar. That intersection has a lot of accidents. Not as many as Baker and Cedar, but a lot.

Please please up this urgency and get these stop signs and stop lights put in immediately. These accidents and deaths are unnecessary, put in immediately I have loved ones that live in Manhattan. Such a disgrace.

In addition, remove the builder's sign at Baker & Ceder which obstructs your view when traveling east.

Keep up the ticketing of trucks. Make them feel unwelcome in Manhattan. The truck traffic is getting worse.

There are a few more locations that need to be added to the list that are on RT 52. Cedar road between Baker and Manhattan Rd should also be 40mph.
