If safety is truly LACCD's Top Priority (as I read every morning when I submit a symptom self-check that makes me feel no safer), then class caps will not be increased while we are still in a pandemic. Instead of just meeting compliance, please take action that demonstrates sincere concern for the health and safety of everyone in our community.

Covid isn't over. If safety truly is a concern of the LACCD, keep online classes and low-cap in-person classes as options for faculty and students. HERFF funds can make that happen.

The LACCD need to hire more cleaning crews so each campus is cleaned thoroughly. Especially classrooms which will need ventilation systems that are bolted down securely. Security namely Sheriff department need to constantly patrol 24/7 to keep out homeless and other individuals who shouldn’t be on campus. More lighting and security videos need to be mounted securely and linked to CCT so each college is safe.

Common sense says small in-person classes at this time will keep faculty and students safe and keep students enrolled. Drive them away by canceling small classes and they may never come back. We get back to “norm” is step by step, not immediately

As faculty we negotiated no wage increase to help students for the next three years.
We were not able to write off working out of our homes because we are employees of the district.
We were not eligible for stimulus money to help with expenses.
Now you want us to have 40-50 students to make up for the miss management by the administrators.
You are requesting we have at least 150 students per semester.
You are asking too much of faculty. We are not slaves, balance your budgets stop dumping everything on faculty.

we will not accept raising class capacity limits. Also, we cancelled many classes (10%) chasing 50% of in-person sections. We also need to keep in-person services at current reduced rates for faculty and student safetty.
