My name is Rev. Claude Chumley. In 2012 I was inspired to invent a device, that I call a Safety Bubble. By utilizing a low power blocker that emits a 1.5 meter signal, the Safety Bubble blocks the usage of cell phone within the vehicle. There is a red button inside the car that when pressed, deactivates the blocker for 10 minutes allowing for emergency or 911 call to be made.

We will have a prototype soon for our factory, that meets the 1.5 meter requirement only cell phone usage within the car is affected and not outside of the car.  On 7-16-2013 called the FCC and their response was the all phone blockers are bad and the would not not accept my application.  In today's world, there are over 20 million drivers under the age of 20.

I believe than the according to the CDC, there are 9 people killed every day, and 1,060 people going ton the hospital because of distracted driving.  This more than justifies the use of a 1.5 meter signal blocker that only blocks cell phone usage within the car, and does not affect using a cell phone outside of the car.

The FCC follow rules which are dictated by Congress.  We need to make Congress aware of the serious life and death issues that are happening every day due to distracted driving and educate them on the life saving advantages in using the Safety Bubble.

The FCC is way behind the times. This invention would save so many lives on the road. Fix the laws and get this in cars now!
