Hello my name is Daryl Reynolds. I am writing on behalf of my two sons, Isaiah Reynolds and Daryl Baucum. My boys were killed in an accident involving a tractor trailer that hit the car that my sons were in, the car was at a stand still in a construction zone waiting on traffic to merge. The truck driver was traveling 50 mph at impact, and records show that she had been on her cell phone for an hour and 1/2 just before she ran into the back of my sons' vehicle. She was so distracted that she didn't heed the 'work zone ahead' signs, starting 14 miles back. The driver stated that "when I looked up, all I saw were brake lights". It was too late to stop the truck - she was on their car. The driver killed my middle son, Daryl, 15 yrs old, instantly. My youngest son, Isaiah, 11 yrs old, had irreversible head injury and had brain injury. He died on May 11th. The accident occurred on Mother's Day. My boys were in the car with their mother and older brother, Jared Baucum, 16 yrs old. Both of them suffered head trauma. Jared was in a coma for 3 days, when he came out he did not know that his brothers were dead. Fear of him relapsing, he was of told about his brothers over a week later. This is a serious tragedy.
