Improve safety at junction of Astwood Road and Bilford Road

I'd have thought the case for traffic lights was overwhelming. With pedestrian phase and variable timing.

It has been increasing difficult to exit our road from both junctions on the Bilford Road. We have expressed our concerns for the 36 years we have lived here ans still no progress

Increased parking is making visibility harder

With the increase in traffic along the Bilford Road, the extremely poor sight lines mean it is a hazardous junction from which to join the Astwood Road.

Long overdue - this is a very dangerous junction, vision is not good for drivers joining from Bilford road and traffic on the main road is often travelling too fast

A lot of drivers fail to signal which causes delays and frustration and then dangerous driving and pedestrians become invisible.

Urgently required

This junction is a nightmare. Drivers going West on Bilford Road and entering the slip road to Astwood Road are not looking at their direction of travel. They are looking on down Bilford Road to see if they need bother stopping at the white line. We have had so many near misses here with drivers coming round on the wrong side of the road. Our sons car was actually hit by a driver doing this. Near misses on the junction going from Bilford Road to Bilford Road West happen daily and there have been some awful accidents. This road is too busy for a junction like this where drivers ignore the white lines.

this is an extremely dangerous crossing place and needs a pedestrian crossing installed urgently.

This junction need action as I have also had a few close calls. Some drivers don’t realise it is two way and drift across the slip road. I was also told a couple of years ago that nothing would be done because no one had died in an accident, which I find disgraceful.

Long over due. This road is busy and 30mph when there are children walking to school. Crossing is a necessity.

This junction is dangerous.

This is such a busy and dangerous junction for local people to negotiate. I also make a plea for more traffic calming during school travel times along the whole stretch of the Bilford Road down to the leisure centre. The crossing opposite the centre is not at all nice to cross at the time so many of our children are walking to school.

This is a very dangerous junction and needs urgent action to prevent further accidents

We moved to Worcester as recently as September and I've already had three near misses. All of them cars coming round the bend at 90 knots from Bilford Road behind me as I'm trying to cross to the Premier Store on a Saturday morning for my paper. There will be a fatal accident here one day unless something is done about.

I've spoken to many residents nearby. There are quite a lot of more elderly people who really struggle to get across this road. One lady actually said to me that she can no longer cross the road safely to access the shop - very frustrating if you want a pint of milk!

Nightmare to drive out turning right from Woodland Road. Dangerous as no one adheres to the silly road marking allowing you to edge out onto main road. Not a lot better fro Kingston Avenue exit either as motorists tear over the canal bridge and do not slow down.
