We, the undersigned, are concerned about the safety of pedestrians on Manor Lane SE12, between the roads of Handen and Taunton. The issues are:
The speed and congestion of traffic in this section of Manor Lane;The lack of safe crossings between the roads of Handen and Taunton;
The absence of a policy that supports parents who are loading and unloading children from cars duing school time at St Winifred's Infant School.
We would like Lewisham Council to review the safety issues highlighted in the petition, "Provide a Safer manor Lane for our Children", and respond to our concerns.

I have been reviewing the comments regarding the traffic conditions near the school. These accounts confirm that Manor Lane remains a difficult environment for our children. I am currently preparing a formal summary of these experiences to present to the council.

I see near misses every single morning. The council needs to wake up and put a zebra crossing in before it is too late. 18 Taunton Road.
Living on Manor Lane is a nightmare during school run. Cars fly down this road like it is a race track. My kids have to cross this every day and it scares me to death. 42 Manor Lane.
Just ridiculous how fast cars go past the school gate!! Put speed bumps in or something.
Sick of the gridlock on this road. Needs proper traffic management for the safety of our kids. 115 Manor Lane.
Needs a crossing now before someone gets hit. People drive way too fast here.
