A safer intersection for Kensington-Windsor Terrace!

This intersection is terrifying for pedestrians. Despite the progress that has been made with the latest DOT changes, this particular crosswalk is cursed with cars and trucks speeding as they turn onto Ocean Parkway. It is incredibly dangerous and something must be done.

This intersection is awful—I or members of my family have nearly been struck by careless drivers here several times. This needs to be addressed.

More traffic enforcement all the way around would be great but this intersection is a tragedy waiting to happen.

Don't wait until a tragedy

This intersection is very busy and I've seen near accidents many times.

It's not just extremely large commercial vehicles that barrel through the intersections every day, it's also NYC MTA buses. Daily I observe them play "Beat The Red Light" or just disregard it. Also, all day, every day, the intersection gets blocked causing vehicles traveling along Ocean Parkway to make dangerous maneuvers endangering pedestrians and cyclists.

This is not safe for kids, the elderly and all others, I moved to this neighborhood 10 months ago and it's very concerning. Please act soon. Thanks!

Always has been a dangerous corner

As the Grandma of two little boys, I walk them to school sometimes and I have seen the danger. Please make it safe for ALL the precious grandchildren who cross that road!

Please, for the safety of my precious niece put a security guard at this crossing.

For the safety of our children please provide a crossing guard for this heavily populated street crossing.

I work at Brooklyn Public Library on E 5th Street . I know how dangerous that intersection is..Remember the young boy that was hit by a car and died at that intersection last year. A crossing guard if desperately needed..

Something more than just a crossing guard needs to be done at this intersection. The yellow left turn arrow blinks and drivers speed up to make the turn before it turns red- without looking to see is a pedestrian is in the walkway. Ive had so many near misses at this intersection. It's not just a school day issue - it happens all the time.

Doesn't matter WHO and HOW OLD the people are trying to cross the CRAZY dangerous intersections by Caton and Ocean Parkway. It is unbelievable that the city won't help with making the streets safer from murder by car ...

My kids and I have almost been hit here several times, when we had the walk sign. Cars do not look and turn at high speeds. This is a school crossing. Not okay.

Please give the 900 or so elementary & middle school children that cross here every day a safe pathway to school by providing a crossing guard. This is. Dangerous spot where cars make speedy left turns to get on to the Prospect Expressway. There should also he a left turn arrow.

We cross this intersection at least twice a day to an from school and work and see the unsafe crossing conditions. We request a School Crossing Guard. Thank you.
