I live on Allen PL NW and I support prioritizing pedestrian safety and bus traffic in a corridor that does not need on-street long term parking

I bike to the doctor here, and I want safer streets for me and my children.

I live in Columbia Heights and regularly bike down Columbia Rd to get to AdMo and Dupont - this would be a huge improvement.

Please DDOT, show you care about our safety, public health, future generations and the environment!

I live in SW DC. 75% of my local shopping and socializing is on 2 wheels. I naturally gravitate where travel is safest and easiest. This bike lane would be a draw for me to the n’hood. (Oh, and it would save lives. Also a plus.)

Columbia is a great mixed-use street, and making it nicer to bike, bus and walk on will take advantage of all its strengths.

I walk, bike, take the bus, and drive along this corridor many times per week. The organized opponents to this project appear to be bad faith actors - a quick Google search tells an interesting story. This is a necessary project - please make it happen.

Bus and bike lanes on Columbia Rd would be great; losing parking is a small price to pay for safer streets that are more accessible for all

A safer Columbia Rd NW for all far outweighs the loss of some street parking in the neighborhood. Please move forward with this important project.

I support this project, as a DC resident I believe this city needs more protected bike and bus lanes!

I live in Park View and bike to work on Columbia Ave every day, so I experience the challenges related to the inconsistent bike infrastructure. It's always unpredictable/dangerous to cross sixteenth, deal with delivery trucks at safeway, bus stops, etc. More dedicated infrastructure would make bikers more safe, and also likely relieve car traffic of some indecision/lack of clarity around where bikers are likely to be.

So excited for this project. So proud of the many terms worth of ANC commissioners who supported this and Brianne Nadeau who stood behind it. And, most important, RIP Nina Larson

DC desperately needs a robust network of protected bike lanes and dedicated transit lanes. Making non-personal vehicle travel more atractive and safe will lead to many benefits for the city and its citizens as a whole (which should be the prioriry of DDOT over small populations of special interested groups). I truly hope in this case that DDOT shows the courage it sadly lacked for CT Ave.

Our family will benefit from better bus stops for our elderly parents and little nephews and I will benefit from protected bike lanes. Columbia Road is still a very chaotic/unsafe road for bikes
