Bike Lanes are essential...
not wanting a bike lane is like not wanting handicap ramps
we want a better world for everyone
not just you and your car

Great idea. Seems like only businesses who need loading zones are complaining. I hate that they are using the excuse of emergency vehicles not being able to stop for emergencies, that clearly means my business can’t offload goods while parked in the bike lane.

I am looking forward to a safer street for all! Including bike and bus infrastructure will keep traffic moving.

I travel on Columbia Rd several times per week. The current traffic pattern is dangerous for me as a pedestrian, biker, and frequent bus commuter in this neighborhood. I do not own a car and I access this area entirely without a car, like thousands of other DC residents. Please prioritize moving this project forward to improve safety.

I live 2 blocks off Columbia and this proposed bus lane and bike lane improvement project will substantially improve my bike commutes, running errands in the neighborhood, and using the bus system.

I am a cyclist, pedestrian and driver who frequents many businesses on Columbia Road on a daily basis. I wholeheartedly support these absolutely critical safety measures for the benefit of all.

Being a pedestrian/biker in DC is terrible, and recent events (reckless driving, carjacking, etc) have underscored this point. Please make roads safer for human beings and improve the experience of riding the bus.

22 people have died on DC streets this year, continuing a terrible trend—slow down our streets for the safety of all users.

As a working cyclist and TWU Local 320 member I support a safer Columbia rd.
We need bus priority lanes and protected bike lanes, more loading zones for delivery workers and cabi drivers to stop for station work. We need pedestrian improvements because it’s chaotic, dangerous and stressful to navigate now

I add five extra minutes to my bike commute to avoid biking on Columbia Rd in its current form, it is incredibly dangerous and this proposal would make the space so much more efficient and safer!

This project is super important to me as I bike on Columbia every morning and it is incredibly dangerous as cars can sometimes drive erratically without a protected bike lane for protection.

I no longer visit or travel to Adams Morgan because this road is so dangerous and congested. This plan to make it safer, more accessible, and easier to travel to and through truly has no appreciable downside.
