I’m very frustrated by the plans to remove the bike lane and other safety infrastructure elements that were supposed to be included in the Connecticut Ave plan. I’m asking DDOT to show they actually care about the safety of pedestrians and microtransit users (e.g. bikes, e-bikes, scooters, others who use bike lanes).

I lived on Mozart for years. I’d always dread having to take the 42 bus on Columbia because of how slow it is. Very hopeful this plan comes to fruition.

I live on Columbia Road and bike to work almost every day. Please build safe bike lane so I don’t get killed while commuting to work

As someone who lives a block off of Columbia Rd, I cannot wait for a safer, more accessible roadway! Bring it on!

I regularly bike through Adams Morgan in my commute to work and this sounds like a common-sense set of solutions to allow a range of DC residents to access safe transportation options.

Columbia road is the key to Adams Morgan. A better connection to the eastern half of the city is needed in this area.

This will make school commutes of students from multiple DCPS and charter schools significantly safer! I am a DC driver who sometimes parks in this area but I strongly support the removal of this parking to put in these pedestrian and transit friendly features on Columbia Road.

I’m deeply in favor of the Columbia rd redesign! I 100% support bus lanes and protected bike lanes! This will be a huge improvement to my quality of life and that of all my neighbors.

This is a much needed upgrade, and will finally connect the Columbia Heights and Adams Morgan neighborhoods in a safe way for me.
