The constant weed and cigarette smoking gangbangers harassing the riders people drinking alcohol the constant violent behavior from homeless and mentally ill people to cta riders and employees it's out of control its like no one cares to care about the riders or employees who don't want to intervene when they see these things are happening because they (being the cta employees) and us (the cta riders) don't feel protected or safe enough on the train and or bus although u offer that red "assistant "button on the train no action is ever taken that equates to be called assistance from cta. I don't expect the bus or train operators to have to be security when you all keep hiring K-9unit that's not doing their jobs and only picking the north side and downtown to be where they do their job.

I should be able to go back & forth from work/home safely using the Blue line

I ride the redline and am scared most of the time. We need officers walking through the train to stop smokers, and assaults.

I am glad to see a flyer about this petition. I am dreading everytime I have to take a red line to work. The trains are always dirty, smell of cigarettes.

Make Cta Safer! I’ve seen so much on those trains. Really it’s a terrible look for our city.

CTA need to take care of this request ASAP. It’s very unsafe and unsanitary as 2022. This the worst I’ve seen the trains.

Everyday, homeless people and vagrants are fixtures at CTA trains especially in the morning. I take take the Blue Line from O'Hare and sometimes the train stinks and is littered with rubbish. It's a shame that tourists and Chicago workers are subjected to these condition everyday.

Every single time I have taken the CTA for the last 2 years someone has been smoking! And doing drugs like crack. It is not safe Or healthy.

I no longer feel safe riding the subway and avoid it at all costs.

Happy to sign petition. Our transportation system is not safe. Put the police on the trains and busses. The system is used as vagrant housing. Impeach Light and Fox

I have to use red line to commute to college and I feel completely unsafe. Sometimes I get threatened by some passengers, and I have to change trains. But it’s the fastest way to commute and it’s freezing outside to wait for buses which are late for 30-40 minutes sometimes, so I don’t have a choice but keep using subway.

My name is Saleh Sayeed and I’m 28 year old girl. I get off work at 10pm and have to take the redline home. I always have someone either asking me for money or trying to talk or bother me making sexual comments and sometimes following me home from the train. I always have to be on guard and I carry a pepper spray with me all the time. We definitely need more security and public safety for the people taking the cta in Chicago. Thanks!
