Safely Re-Open Our Schools

We are very unhappy with the way the schools are handling this situation. Even the proposals for returning to school are terrible -- saying the kids will continue to be on their screens all day despite being in the classroom. Let's get these kids off the screens and interacting with live people. They need to play with their friends and receive hugs from teachers.

Teachers need to be vaccinated and return to the classroom ASAP. No excuses. The education of our kids is suffering with every week we delay. Exceptions for pregnant teachers of course, but not general non acceptance of vaccines. Other workers have had to go to work.

The Children OUR future NEEDS to Be Protected Vaccinate Teachers and Children NOW

The kids are suffering. When kids suffer, the community suffers. We don't want to undermine the potential risk to school staff. We don't want to pretend that everything can go back to "normal". All we ask for is a little compassion for the kids in your community. Let's get to a reasonable, workable solution together!

For the mental, physical, and future health of our children please reopen the schools! Follow the science and reopen!!!

Thank you Mayor Liccardo for your email. My mother was a teacher and while she was a member of the union she would have been begging the board to open the school to teach her students.

Teachers are essential now more than ever

I have kids in middle school and grade school while my front liner nurse wife works. I am a development manager working full time on affordable housing and multi residential projects. Please open the schools who are following safe protocols to serve our communities.
