Open SJUSD in the red tier for elementary students. They are not thriving in distance learning. Children have the right to an equitable education. Follow the science

Some kind of agreement needs to be made to get kids back into the classroom. Especially the children who attend our public schools and the teachers who teach them. The private schools often have a less diverse and disadvantaged population and they are all ready in school. We must equalized this!!!!!

It is time to re-open our schools. We know the steps that are needed for health and safety (vaccinations, cleaning/sanitizing protocols, masks, social distancing) and should make it priority to implement these and get our children back in the classroom.

I am ok either way this year. If schools follow the rules I don’t have any issues to send my kid to school.

Do what’s right for the kids and get them back in school. Evidence exists that this can be done safely and is already happening in private schools and other counties, states, and countries. If the teachers unions want taxpayer support in the future, they need to make this happen. Do not use our kids as a negotiation tool.

This is a ridiculous travesty. I'm a music teacher and my students are depressed. I've lost 7 students to other states who had the courage and wisdom to open. They literally moved to other states with relatives so they could have in-person school, and they're having great years. One even moved to Israel! We're one of a few shmuck states damaging our children in this way. So infuriating.
OPEN THE SCHOOLS AND LET'S SAVE THIS GENERATION FROM DEPRESSION AND HOPELESSNESS.

Even if students can go once a week, it is superior to the effects of 6 hours daily of screen time, depression, and the hopelessness many students feel, some of whom haven't logged in to classes all year.
