I am a teacher, very concerned about the learning loss students are experiencing without in-person learning.

Even if we inoculate the teachers and the teachers agree to in person schooling, what about vaccinating the children? I wonder how many parents would feel comfortable in sending their kids to in person schooling before the kids are vaccinated (which, from all indicators, could be as late as summer).

An incentive for teachers teaching in person should be in place.

Yes, open the schools as soon as possible. Get the teachers and key staff vaccinated. The children need their education.

Schools shouldn't have shut down in the first place, the science has been saying that for months. Moreover, several european countries never shut down schools and they show it has had no impact. But, just like what happened in Chicago, the teachers will get the vaccinations and still refuse to go to class and teach. Makes you wonder why Californians pay more in taxes to fund education but still rank near the bottom compared to other states. It has nothing to do with lack of money or teachers pay, it's unions that keep crappy teachers in their jobs because you can't fire them, and doesn't allow you to pay really good teachers more than the rest. And not to mention the millions wasted on "administrators" why do we need 5 psychologists and 3 assistant principals , all with their own secretaries?
Someone needs to clean up this mess and it ain't gonna be you Liccardo. Sincerely every single tax payer plotting to move out of state ASAP!
Teachers need to be vaccinated first.
Yes to school opening!
Please open the schools asap
