Considering St.Paul is a capitol city, I found them unresponsive to plowing the downtown area so everyone, including the elderly and disabled cannot get to public transportation, the grocery or to church. Their staff is unresponsive. The ordinances have so many exceptions that I was surprised one of them wasn't free vacations for city staff to states without snow. I called the mayor and received no satisfaction or even a phone call. The man partially ran on cleaning up the downtown area and restoring functionality. Bill

Since I've lived on Mariah which is kind of like the buildings downtown St Paul on the side they have made it where nobody that is walking can even get over the sidewalks because they're pushed so far up. They need make better plans on where to place the snow when we get heavy snowfalls like we have.

The city needs to plow more often AND do a better job plowing when they do go out. Ticket and TOW cars who don’t move, and THEN plow. Earlier this year, 10 (TEN!) cars remained on my block and the plow just went around. Now the edge of the snow mound is 5’ from the curbs on BOTH sides of the street.

I moved here from Minneapolis not only do they plow the streets they also do the alleys in a timely manner. They have private companies that plow when they can. I have garage and cant get in unless its plowed.

Our streets and alleys should be plowed in a timely manner. We have lived here 3.5 years and have missed work, school and doctor appointments due to snow covering the side streets. I moved here from a small town that handled city services far more efficiently. I have found the lack of service in St Paul shocking.

After the last snowfall Laurel Avenue in Saint Paul (off of Dale), was not plowed for over 24 hours after the snow stopped falling. This is a major road through this area and cars were getting stuck and fighting to get through intersections. We can do better!!

Plowing needs to start based on what’s falling and what’s anticipated, NOT after it stops. Cars need to be ticketed and towed if they aren’t moved - an idle threat is worth nothing except a mess in the street!

Dozens of cars getting stuck on our street and in intersections this year as result of lack of plowing and the mess that is left in the intersections after the plows come through.

The plowing AND distribution of salt/chemicals at intersections is not acceptable and hasn’ Been for several years. PLEASE address. It is totally unsafe to walk especially with a dog as is necessary as I live in a condo.

I live on Dayton between Oxford and Chatsworth, with most street intersections I travel in the area bounded by Marshall and Summit / Hamline and Dale) remain clogged with snow brought into the intersections by plows clearing (some of the) side streets. Cars, trucks and school buses regularly get stuck in the snow accumulation at intersections regularly; the lucky among us simply slide as we aim to round a corner.

I live in Arundel and Laurel. It is nearly impossible to navigate after snow bc first it's too deep and we get stuck and then by the time the street is plowed the snow is so packed down that plowing 2 +days later (like usual)doesn't make much of a difference. Its still really bad. I've even helped push mail trucks and delivery vans because they got stuck on my street this winter both before AND after plowing. It's ridiculous.

What baffles me is that folks don’t get towed. When I lived in Mpls I knew they meant business about towing during snow emergencies.
Why don’t we use the Mpls system - they seem to have it figured out?!
