Safe Winter Roads for St. Paul

Bike paths are nice but i bike in the summer. We need roads plowed in the winter. Two weeks in a row our recycling has not been picked up. Instead of $50 college savings accounts for St Paul students how about we spend the equivalent $50 x 35,500 students = $1,800,000 on snow removal equipment and supplies? That way the kids can actually get to school

I work at a school and just to the east of the school, there is a slight decline on Bohland. The intersection at Bohland and Kenneth gets very dangerous. Bohland is not plowed so the incline gets very icy and cars slide through the intersection. School children are using this crossing.

My son attends Cretin-Derham Hall High School in St. Paul, and we live in Plymouth. The street conditions in the neighborhoods around CDH are awful! Do you even plow? I've never seen such unsafe driving and walking conditions for students and parents.

Its ridiculous Cannot count how many cars I've helped push out AFTER plows supposedly went thru We are talking feet of slushy snow still on the streets

Live in Brooklyn Park, work in St. Paul. Parking/driving the 1.5 miles from 94-Highland Park area is the worst part of my commute by far.

what is going on that we can't get our streets plowed in a timely manner? what are they doing with the tax money? Bicycle paths...No one is using them now. Last snowfall they plowed my street only after I called 2 days later and then only one side. stupid.

In addition I would like to mention the leisure time and commute time lost helping neighbors get unstuck.

Would like to not get stuck just trying to get to my driveway one block off of a plowed road.

Some roads never get plowed at all. This needs to be taken care of because of people's safety.

I'm sick of paying taxes for roads that never get fixed and never get plowed. It's got to end.

Other communities have roads down to bare pavement and ours haven’t even been plowed. What’s wrong with this picture?

Not everyone owns a 4WD. Yesterday, as I navigated the side streets in second gear, it felt as though I was riding a nearly out-of-control wild bronco... hanging on to the wheel for dear life as I bounced along in nearly out-of-control fashion: NOT safe!

My work finds it ridiculous that I cant get to work 30hours after snowfall. All they have to do is watch the newscasters say "5-10 inches by 10"

This issue not only effects our abilities to get to and from work, but also effects my inexperienced teenager in getting himself to school safely, and my elderly neighbor who still drives, but gets stuck/beaches in her sedan since we don't all live on main arterial roads. Also I have heard of many many school buses this year that have been unable to climb minor inclines due to all the sloppy accumulation at intersections.

Additionally, plow alleys. I am disabled but can still drive. My garage is alley based. Plus it would help in garbage pickup

I totally agree this need to be changed. When we dont shovel our side walks the city of st.paul will write you a letter to let you know if this is not taken care of you'll get bill for what they'll come out and do. So they should also do their job and shovel the streets.
