Safe Winter Roads for St. Paul

Streets are in rough shape, winter and summer, all neighborhoods affected

I have lived in Iowa and New York City—both places had vastly better plowing services than St Paul. It’s so bad here!

It has been several days since the neighborhood streets have been attended to. Not adequate. Poor management.

Our city public works department is run by bureaucrats and political appointees. It needs to be run by professional civil engineers like it was in the 50s and 60s.

and plow to the curb, the streets are already to narrow.

It's not safe when the roads aren't clear. Please prioritize plowing our streets.

This is a safety issue now. It's just dangerous. Yesterday, I had trouble getting down city streets with my car. I'm scared I'm going to get stuck. Please take this petition seriously.

It is embarrassing to have to explain to visitors why St. Paul roads are perennially poorly plowed. It is past time to change plowing protocols.

It's embarrassing how terrible our city's ability is to address relatively normal snowfall events.

The plowing in Saint Paul has gotten steadily worse since the '80's!! No excuse not to plow down to the pavement like they do on the major arteries.

Truly disgraceful, Public Works, truly disgraceful.

The nearly 15% increase in my property taxes this year (with the promise of more to come) should MORE than cover the cost of timely snow removal.

The current road clearing/snow plowing is unacceptable. The side streets go for days without being cleared. We have lived in Minneapolis and their plowing is much better. Let’s get this fixed!

This level of winter maintenance is UNACCEPTABLE!! Tag and tow all offenders who don't follow rules!! Come back and do street cleanup after initial clearing. Hire private vendors to help if need be but GET IT DONE!!

I have never voted on City elections. You have finally hit my tipping point with yearly tax increases, declining street . I’ve started organizing my neighborhood as well.

We moved to St. Paul one year ago and have been shocked at the poor snow plowing. The current plowing and road clearing is not acceptable. Thank you.

Saint Paul’s roads are not safe in the winter. Cross the river to Minneapolis and it’s a lot better handled. If it’s possible there, it’s possible here. Hire more plow drivers and invest the money in keeping our roads safe.

Time for law makers to make this a priority on homeowner's city tax assessments!

Please improve plowing - without 4 wheel drive I could not make it to work twice this month!

At least this time the snow birds on our block got a ticket. Last year I called and begged for a ticket writer without any response. Better yet to get tows out too.
