While I do condone the sentiments of this meassage I must state that I do not condone an increase in use of salt by the City of Saint Paul. We are a major influencing city on the Mississippi river and the national bee and monarch populations. The use of salt is extreemly deteimental to our soil and water. An increase in the use of grit and sand, and limiting salt, would still provide safety while protecting our environment. Additionally, it works below 5 degrees unlike salt. Let's do better by setting high expectations for the rest of the state.

I just moved to St Paul from Eden Prarie and have realized tbis situation. Where does the high taxes go for ??? It seems plowing streets should be a high priority in a city.

I am on a corner lot and people are always getting stuck k in my intersection. If they stop at the stop sign they get stuck. I don't see why the plows could not make a sweep through the side streets and then call a snow emergency to finish the job. I live seeing the plows go through, but with all the snow we had so far only went through once. Come on mayor keep our streets passable. Thank you

I feel our school closures would be lessened with better road cleaning. We had many school days with late busses, stuck busses and cars. The roads were not as bad in surrounding districts.

at least plow so it's passable for emergency services. if my tow truck has a hard time on some roads, i can't imagine fire apparatus getting through.

Some of the streets on the East Side are treacherous. They need to be sanded/salted in addition to being plowed.

Self employment loss of income when I’m not able to navigate the residential streets. Icy roads, intersections and alleyways are a hazard for my dog walking and personal assistant business. I wear cleats, but was just not able to keep up with the conditions this year. The lack of timely, proper snow removal and ice treatment cost me financial and physical injury.

Benchmark historical snowfalls, budget accordingly. This should not be difficult.

Side streets should be treated like main roads. The side streets are just as dangerous to drive on.

The roads in St Paul are down right DANGEROUS when they are in this deplorable condition!

I realize that the street parking makes plowing difficult. Please copy what MPLS is doing, it is quite functional and allows us to get around on side streets.

Current police and procedure is not working. Take a drive through Frogtown to see for yourselves how unsafe the driving conditions are. Fire trucks and ambulances find some streets unpassable.

West Sider. Streets are terrible. This seems like a no brainer! My street is a school bus route and still not plowed after kids go back to school!

Also on the 30+ degree nice days declare a snow emergency and clean up the residential streets! Also, in the fall let's clean the residential streets AFTER all the leaves have fallen!

my street is a day plow road and to reach a night plow road they go down my street with the plow up and the when they hit the night plow street they put their plow down. I;ve called and complainted more than once but they are pretty dense in always stating that my street is a day plow that why they don't put theur plow down
