Total disgrace, volunteers keep it going and then the council want to sell it. It’s part of the local history of the town.

Terrible why the council is even thinking about selling her, remember while cleaning the windows at Northbourne I popped into the sheds where the Clacton Queen lives and the guys where absolutely great, they showed me around and answered any questions, it was great to see her and the stories about how hard the guys had worked restoring her and yearly maintenance she has to go through, find it hard that this is down to money.

My Dad has helped to keep this running.he is also one of the drivers.people travel from all over the country to see the steam roller and these people spend their money in the towns shops. Many people have given hundreds of hours to keep this old girl going for everyone to enjoy.

This is part of the town's history and would be a great loss.

If TDC do not contribute to the Clacton Queen, and it costs them no funding, then TDC do not have the right to retain ownership and sell it.

Why would clacton want to sell this I’ve been visiting clacton for years. Every time I see this marvellous piece of machinery I am in ore of it. Please don’t let your community down. It’s the only thing you have where each generation an have an experience without it being computerised Or electronically controlled.

May be they should concentrate on finding a buyer for the white elephant formally known as marks and spencer after spending 3 million pounds of our money without consulting the residents rather than selling a piece of local history that costs them nothing to maintain, but that's tdc all over, couldn't run a bath between them!!!!

What a 'smack in the teeth' for all the hours the willing volunteers have given and I guess willing to give in the future. Council money grabbing!!!
