I can’t stand being harassed by these people, or having to literally avoid a central part of campus in order to not be agitated. I have an anxiety disorder; and this literally picks my heart rate up when I have to see aborted fetus pics in the campus I pay oodles of money to, to get an education.

As a Christian...these people are not Christians. Christians don't spew hate and rejection, and I can promise you Jesus wouldn't act like that. I'll gladly sign this to help protect students!

As former student of USM, it's time these people are banned from campus. They've been coming to campus since my time there, which dates back to 2006-2009.

The claimed religious group is very hateful to students and people walking by. They do not represent their religion well and they definitely do not represent the students of Southern Mississippi

I’ve heard these hateful people say everything from calling women sluts for wearing shorts, to telling people they are going to hell for being gay, to calling the people that speak out against them intolerant, and plenty of other hateful things. It’s about time that action is taken because nobody deserves to feel unsafe when doing something as simple as going to the library or getting something to eat.

Schools already stressful and even if you try to ignore them, they are still a presence you can’t avoid. This isn’t just a problem for the LGBTQ+, but everyone who they don’t approve of.

Students should not be yelled at and told they’re going to hell for kissing or wearing shorts while passing through from class to class or wherever else they are going. These people don’t understand that students are stressed enough and they shouldn’t have to worry about them.

Harassing passing students who want nothing to do with the situation and filming them without consent is not "free speech." It is a violation.

I’m not going to hell just because I’m a girl. I’m sorry but that’s not how it works. Let’s get these people off of our campus.

This has been going on for far, far too long. I was a student at USM from '09 to '13, and it was happening then. It angers me that it's still going on. There's freedom of speech/religion, and then there is harassment. When these protesters start to verbally attack innocent passersby who are not seeking to engage them in conversation, it becomes harassment. If a group of people were sitting and catcalling women and harassing them, we wouldn't bat an eye at putting a stop to it. It is unacceptable for students and faculty to feel unsafe on campus, and that is what is happening here. Signed, Angry Alum

It’s disappointing that this group can cast a negative image on our institution. They are verbally abusive, and obviously aren’t welcomed.

I’m Greek affiliated at USM and just passing by to go to chic-fa-la, I heard them shouting at me “sorority girls are the worst.” “They’re not Christian women, and they’re all going to hell.” They also said other things that made me believe they were calling me a slut but without being direct and calling me that. I just felt directly humiliated. I didn’t really care and I literally laughed at them because I know who I am and they certainly do not, but you never know who they could say this to and that person could really cause damage.
