I have friends that lost their child on this crossing. That should be telling us enough. Action speaks louder than words.

I live on Ruakura Campus and we have already lost one family member crossing this road. Our teenagers continue to risk their lives daily trying to get to school. I would love to be able to cross the road to walk the dog but with a disability that restricts my speed, I would even attempt it.

My daughter cross at the Knighton Rd roundabout to walk to/from campus. I'm suprised there haven't been more acidents involving or caused by kids on bikes who weave through the traffic at the Ruakura Rd gate.

It's a no brainer. Safe pedestrian access needs to be added.

I know of several close calls when pedestrians and cyclists are trying to cross the road at the Ruakura entrance. With no footpath on that side one has no safe zone to get them to the entrance.
I fully support to build a safe pedestrian access into Ruakura Research centre from Ruakura Rd. It is very difficult for not only people but also cars to get in or out from the centre at rush hours. There was already a fatal accident happened when a student was crossing Ruakura road from the centre. We should take an action to prevent such a tragedy from happening again.

As a driver I watch pedestrians risking themselves every day crossing this road and the intersection is dangerous for traffic as well given the increased loading on Ruakura Road.

It is a very dangerous crossing, not only for pedestrains and cyclists as well as for cars trying to get across the road either turning off to innovation park or from innovation park back onto the main road. The latter is mainly because of the extremely busy traffic in both directions!

Due ot lack of a proper crossing to reach the walkway on the other side, after work we are forced to walk in the cycle lane hoping no car or bike is going to knock us off. A safe access will avoid this.
